The arrival of Jet Max Cubes!

I mentioned on my post about my daughter's wedding invitations that during the midst of that fun experience I also was attempting to revamp my craft room, which is also a home office.  I'd been going back and forth on whether I wanted the Jet Max Cubes, the Elfa system from the Container Store, or Expedit and other items from Ikea.  Love them all.  But the deciding factor was when Michaels' had all scrapbook storage items 40% off.  So I am now the proud owner of 12 Jet Max cubes, and I really like them.

I had a hard time deciding where in the room to put them at first.

Then I moved them to the other wall, in the hopes of replacing the plastic drawers which have become somewhat warped over the years.

Great!  Now I just need more!

Presto!  Six cubes are now twelve, through the magic of another run to Michaels!!

Drawer dividers!  Gotta love 'em!

Woo hoo!  A great way to wrangle wheels and cartridges!

Hmm.  Didn't know I had so much miscellaneous ribbon.  Now if I could just magically change it all into Stampin' Up! ribbon!!!

My first solution for ink pad storage until......

.... my new Color Caddy arrived!

Of course, I owe a super huge thank you to my wonderful husband for letting me get all of these cubes and then putting them all together for me.  Honey, you're the best!!

Thanks for looking.  I appreciate all of your nice comments!  Happy Stamping!

Speaking of Mr. Froggy .....

Here he is!  I'm not a "frog person" like my daughter, Erica.  But I still think this little guy is super cute!  Since today's Friday Mash Up challenge is Zoo Animals (don't they have frogs at the zoo, like in a rain forest exhibit or something??), I think I'll enter this one!!

I made this card for a workshop back in January and titled him "Froggy Flowers" on my project planner sheet.  The card base is So Saffron and the DSP papers are Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi.  I used A Flower For All Seasons, Confetti, and was going to use a greeting from Curly Cute, but decided not to.  I kind of thought "Thinking of You" would be cute as he wistfully looks up at the flowers in the hopes a fly would appear!

Here's another incarnation of Mr. Frog.  These were part of the 80 post it packs I made for a church event.  Cuteness!

Happy Friday everyone!

Do stamp pads mimic socks?

You know how those pesky socks can mysteriously disappear in the midst of laundry?  Usually eaten by the invisible dryer monster?  Well, I'm wondering if ink pads suffer from the same fate as well.

I have all 48 of the SU colors from a few years past, including some wonderful and sadly discontinued colors like Ballet Blue, Gable Green, Green Galore, Creamy Caramel, and a host of others.  I still use them faithfully on non-workshop projects.  Lately I seem to have used a lot of Gable Green and Green Galore in combination with the cute little frog in "A Flower For All Seasons" set.  Love that little guy!

Well -- horror of horrors -- I now can't find my Green Galore inkpad A N Y W H E R E!!!  How does that happen???  I haven't taken it anywhere outside of my craft room to my knowledge!  I've looked in all the obvious nooks and crannies.  The only drastic thing I haven't done is take everything out of the closet (shoot me now!) and look there in the hopes that it slid off somewhere in a dark recess.  Yikes.

Anyone else suffer from this ink pad disease?????

Happy stamping and have a wonderful weekend!

My first Mojo Monday!

I just discovered this cool site today!  I must confess, ever since then, the song "Just Another Manic Monday" has been zipping through my head.  Don't know why....but I wish it would stop!!

Anyway, here is my [almost] monochromatic version.  Except for the pop of Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive, everything else is Baja Breeze.

And of course, I had to add a bit of "bling" with my Dazzling Diamonds.

The stamp sets I used were Confetti and Punch Bunch.

Enjoy!  Happy stamping!

Now that I've figured this out .....

Well, thanks to all the brilliant minds on Stampin' Connect, I understand how to link this to my SU blog.  So I'm back tracking a bit and adding some older posts.

CARDS, GLITTER AND DOGS, OH MY!

Assembly lines seem to be a theme in my stamping corner lately!

First it was sticky note packets for an event at my church.

Then it was Halloween treat bags for the trick or treaters.

And now it's the Christmas card assembly line!

There's nothing like stamping up Christmas cards, listening to my favorite, jazzy Christmas CD's and getting glitter everywhere!

However, I'm not too sure the dogs are thrilled by this stamping extravaganza.  Jazz, my Boston Terrier, had a bowl full of glitter from the Iridescent Ice embossing powder I was using last night.  I think I got it all out before I fed him, but it's entirely possible his face was extra-sparkly this morning, and not just because he's a happy, happy guy!

Ah, the perils of being owned by a stamping fanatic!

Wedding Invitations

Wow, I've been so neglectful of this blog.  I certainly wish I understood how to make it look "fancier" like a lot of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators do with their independent blogs.  I do try to update my Stampin' Up! blog every so often, but have totally neglected this one.

So what have I been working on?  Mainly, wedding invitations and thank you cards for my youngest daughter's upcoming wedding in May.  It was quite an undertaking, and not really because the stamping techniques were that difficult.  But when you're making 150 with multiple layers and construction challenges, and doing it all by yourself, well....it's time consuming!  So here's how things progressed:

Stacks and stack of Ballet Blue (retired) cardstock

Pocket assembly with Sticky Strip

Invitation closed with embossed image on front flap

Invitation open, showing pocket with RSVP card, envelope, and maps

Tied shut with pretty silver ribbon

The RSVP cards.  I left just enough room at top for the wheeled image.

Completed stacks of invitations everywhere!  Oh, and did I mention I was revamping my craft room in the middle of this process with the JetMax cubes I got at 40% off at Michaels?????

Ready for packaging and mailing!  Good grief!

And what, you may be wondering, am I working on now?  Thank you cards, of course!

Thank you card #1 (don't know why I can't get this to orient properly)

Thank you card #2 components

Flowers for card two

Voila!  Card #2!

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!
