Baby Girl Mini Albums

Happy Friday Everyone!

Recently, my sister-in-law commissioned me to make two mini albums for friends of hers who were expecting baby girls.  I didn't want to show these ahead of her gifting them, but now I can show you the albums.  I'll be sharing one today and one tomorrow (yes, I know, the suspense is killing you!).

The first album was created using DCWV's Preppy Princess stack.  Such sweet pink and green and cream images with glittery accents.

For the pages, I used a great technique I found on this video.  For the construction of the album itself, I used Laura Denison's Stack The Deck method.  You can find great instruction from her here.  She makes the most AWESOME albums!

WOYWW 169

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

It's time for our weekly jaunt to visit other creative souls, courtesy of Julia at Stamping Ground.

I'm working on some Halloween goodies.  Some fun two pocket treat pouches (instructions from the wonderful Angie Juda).  Also components for Halloween cupcake toppers ready to be assembled.  And a bunch of other hoohaw that needs to be put away!

I'll be adding some close up pics of these projects later on.  In the meantime, be sure to pop over the Julia's and visit everyone else!

Snowman Wishes for Cooler Weather

Happy Saturday Everyone!

So I've progressed right from a Halloween project to Christmas cards!  Imagine that!  And I just love snowman images and decided to make up a little quartet of snowman cards.  I took some previous design layouts and tweaked them just a bit.  I took these pictures outside hoping for better lighting, but I think they look kind of weird for some reason.

It may not show in the photos, but each card has some sort of shimmer or glitter to it.  After all, we're dealing with snow here, people!

Throwback Thursday

Happy Thursday Everyone!

As summer and heat grinds on, my thoughts can't help turn towards cooler weather.  Unfortunately, I live in south Texas!!  While it does get cooler, fall just isn't the same as back home in the Midwest.  I miss the beautiful maple trees, crunchy leaves on the ground, and the crispness in the air.  Spiced cider, fall and Halloween decorations, apple cider doughnuts at Louisburg Cider Mill....yummo!

So today's project is a bit of Halloween fun.  These cute "tags" could be used for a multitude of things.  They can be attached to candy for trick or treaters, turned into cupcake toppers, used on larger tags or as embellishments on cards and scrapbooks pages.  You could even use them as hang tags/price tags.  Jot a quick note on the back and tuck it in a lunch box of brief case for a loved one!  Lots of fun.

The stamp set featured here is the retired Stampin' Up set called "Batty For You."  It's such a fun set!

Gift Tags

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I hope your week is off to a fabulous start!  Today I'm sharing with you a little project I made last week.  I have a "thing" about all sorts of little tags right now, so I made a couple of sets.  Both use some retired colors of SU cardstock (still tryin' to use up that stash) and some old Kaleidacolor ink pads I have lovingly held on to.

The first is perfect for gift tags.  I used some of the pastel colored flat-back pearls I scored at a Tophatter auction recently.  They're so pretty!

The second set I made would be perfect for pricing tags, to include with an order or purchase someone made from you, or any number of "thank you" occasions.  I still have a surplus of silver card stock left from my daughter's wedding invitations, so I used a bit of it here.

WOYWW 166

I've been absent from WOYWW lately.  In fact, I've been rather absent from my blog all around.  Must fix that!

Anyway, here's the state of my desk yesterday afternoon.  I'm working on two baby girl mini albums that my sister-in-law commissioned from me.  I hope she's going to like them.  I think I'll tackle some decoration on them today.  Although I'm a bit burned out from being in the craft room all day yesterday.  So playing hookie is kind of calling to me!

For those of you wondering what WOYWW is, it's our weekly voyage around the globe looking at other crafty desks courtesy of Julia at Stamping Ground.  Be sure you pop over there and have a look around.

Internet Addictions and Other Distractions

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I don't have a throwback feature for you today.  I've been too busy with my new internet obsession.  No, it's not Pinterest.  That's one I had already discovered.  The new obsession is Tophatter Auctions.  Oh my goodness.  If you have a thing for auctions anyway, as I do, this is one dangerous site!  Go check it out!

Another thing that's taken me away is prepping for another spot in another craft mall.  I managed to snag an itty bitty space at Frou Frou Galore, which is an awesome craft mall/boutique in Old Town Spring.  I'm hoping I'll do better in this location because of the greater amount of foot traffic.  Even yesterday afternoon when I was setting up, there were a lot of people through the door in an hour's span on a Thursday afternoon.  So that's encouraging.  Here's a quick pic of the space I set up.

The owner was kind enough to loan me these two wire display shelves.  What a relief, because I wasn't sure how I was best going to use the space in this little cubby!

As far as stamping goes, here is a little project I worked on this week.  Just some quick and cute 3 X 3 thank you notes with envelopes and matching peel and stick seals.  If these catch on, I may have to find a resource for the envelopes, because making them is kind of a pain!

So I hope you haven't been missing me too much.  I have definitely been neglecting my poor little blog.  I'll try to do better next week!  Have a fabulous weekend!
