Throwback Thursday

Happy Thursday Everyone!

My card today features an old Stampin' Up! set called "Christmas Peace."  The sketch I used is from the Merry Monday Christmas challenge.  Here's the sketch:

And here's my interpretation:

I thought my horizontal strip needed something extra, so I pulled out some ancient gold sheer organdy ribbon that SU used to sell.  I miss that stuff and hoard what I have left of it!

I also pulled out some gold metallic card stock.  Why have I never used this stuff before?  I stamped the little star from "Every Little Bit" with the new firm foam black ink pad and embossed it with iridescent ice for a little extra bling!

Had to give a little Christmas love to the inside also!

I keep hoping making all of these Christmas cards will bring some cooler weather.  But, alas, no such luck.  It's supposed to be 96 again today with a slight chance of some rain tonight and tomorrow (from the weather person's lips to God's ears!).  My local news channel tried to put it in perspective last night, saying that this time last year it was 105 and we were in full-blown drought conditions.  I guess that's supposed to make me feel cooler.......but it isn't working!!  Such is life during the summer in southeast Texas!

Thanks for looking at my blog. I appreciate all the wonderful comments everyone leaves. Happy Stamping!
