The Twelve Days of Christmas - Day One

Happy Monday Everyone!

Have you recovered from Turkey coma weekend??  I'm working on it!

Today is the first installment of my Twelve Days of Christmas projects and videos.  These will be quick, easy and fun projects that will get you through the holiday season.  Our first project is a simple gift card holder.  Not only does it include a to/from section and place for a note, but these easily fit in a standard card envelope for mailing.

The base of the holder is a piece of cardstock 7 3/4" x 5".  Score the cardstock on the long side at 2 1/2" and 6".  The smaller flap will be secured with red liner tape or scor tape to the back on the two short sides.  This is where the gift card will tuck in.

For the decorative panels on the front, cut two pieces of coordinating paper at 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" and 1 1/2" x 4 3/4".  For the inside to/from panel, cut a piece of plain cardstock at 2 1/4" x 4 3/4".  The belly band is a strip 1" wide by 8 1/2" long.  Then just add a decorative element of your choice onto the belly bend on the front.

Here is the video tutorial.

I hope you enjoy this project!  Be sure to stay tuned for all twelve projects!

Thanks for looking at my blog. I appreciate all the wonderful comments everyone leaves. Happy Crafting!
