The weekly challenge over at
Try Stampin' on Tuesday is celebrating their one year anniversary. The challenge this week is a sketch plus birthday. Since it's always hard to come up with masculine cards, I thought I would concentrate on that. I knew I wanted to use Lovely As a Tree and my Well Worn DSP which I had never used yet. And the rest just seemed to fall in place based on the scraps of cardstock I had stored. I love it when that happens!
The card actually looks a little more muted in person. It's hard to tell in my photos, but the card base is River Rock, which picks up the background color of the piece of Designer Series Paper I used. I distressed nearly all of the edges. For the focal image, I inked up in crumb cake and then added (with markers) some more mustard, old olive, and chocolate chip before "huffing" and stamping.
Be sure you pop over to Try Stampin' on Tuesday and wish them Happy Birthday!
Thanks for looking at my blog. I appreciate all the wonderful comments everyone leaves. Happy Stamping!
Thanks for your kind commments on my TST#52 card. I really like how you have put together your card. I have just purchased that stamp set and have yet to break it open, now I have an excuse. TFS
