Happy Monday Everyone!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. We enjoyed some lovely, cooler weather here in Texas. My husband (aka The King of Smoke) fired up his one-of-a-kind smoker (that he made himself) on Sunday and smoked two chickens and a large pork shoulder roast (think pulled pork). It smelled wonderful, and the chicken has to be some of THE absolute best, moist, super yummy chicken I have ever tasted! Here is the King in his element! lol
On to the topic of this post.....
Lovely As a Tree has to be one of the best SU sets ever. It's so versatile. I had seen this idea several places, but after looking at this design, I decided to go ahead and make something similar. I made two versions, both using Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi as my main colors.
I used two different retired ribbons on these cards (one Certainly Celery, and one Baja Breeze). While I really like both color combos, the King of Smoke and I both preferred the one with the Marina Mist DSP layer. Here they are side by side. What do you think?
I experimented with taking my photos outside this morning on my patio table. I usually take them on my work table under my Ott light. I kind of like the outside "background." Of course, when it gets to be 110 degrees in the shade in Texas this summer, you probably won't see me venturing outside to take pictures!
Thanks for looking at my blog. I appreciate all the wonderful comments everyone leaves.
